Who is Brazosport Counseling?
John Barnhart, MA, LPC is the founder and director of
Brazosport Counseling Services. John left his career in the
power generation industry to follow a calling to help individuals
and families in emotional crises. He pursued a Master of Arts
in Christian Counseling at Houston Baptist University and
received the Outstanding Student Award upon graduation.
John pursued his state professional counseling license through
a supervised internship at Houston's First Baptist Church's
counseling center. He served as a volunteer psychological
counselor at the Star of Hope Mission's Men's Development
Center and was awarded an outstanding volunteer award in
2006. John's passion is to bring the knowledge, skills, and
experience he has gained to serve in his home community of
Brazosport.
